The Lazy Genius Way: Embrace What Matters, Ditch What Doesn't, and Get Stuff Done by Kendra Adachi

If I were editing this book, I’d put the chapters in a different order, so that everything starts from 1) rigor on what actually matters and 2) being kind to yourself. There were some good practical tips here, and I might check out the author’s podcast. But as a reader who used to be Christian and still has some big feelings around that, I found the religious remarks peppered throughout to be distracting. That’s the author’s prerogative but something to know going in.

Just wish this were a bit more resolved at the end.

I borrowed this book from the library in both ebook and audiobook. Listening to the book as read by Eunice Wong added to the experience, which is not something I’ve felt about a fiction read before!

This was a book club pick, not something I would choose myself. I really tried but it’s too dark and heavy and I don’t need to internalize that right now.
