It’s wild because I liked the characters in the second book of this series but I absolutely could not stand them in their book. Josh is borderline predatory and Kristin is so delusional it made me cringe. It was gross how many times she ghosted him pretending she was doing him a favor, but whenever she wanted intimacy it was fine to break. I really didn’t like the story and their relationship, while certainly cute at times, was so toxic. Just once I want to read about a couple who can actually communicate. Also, I really hate how these books talk about unprotected sex. It’s not at all factual and not good advice for readers. Just because you “haven’t been with anyone since your ex” doesn’t mean you don’t need to be tested. That’s just bad sex education.
