The Mirror: The Lost Bride Trilogy, Book 2 by Nora Roberts
I was looking forward to read this one since I got hooked on the first book, but this one was harder to get through. One review said “The entire book was basically a cycle of the characters waking up, going straight to work, drinking coffee, working right until the evening, some sort of spooky or eerie thing happens, and then they eat dinner And go to sleep so something spooky can happen again at night.” And that’s super accurate. It also got frustratingly repetitive how they kept asking “why didn’t you tell/call me” to each other when something spooky happened. Also the first half of the book I learned more about the lawyer’s job than the actual main story plot … I think this could have easily been a 2 book series. Anyways, I got through the book because I want to find out what happens with the main plot and see them break the curse. Maybe about 10% or less of this book covered the main plot though lol
