I was so excited to finally get to Jacob’s book and now I’m just disappointed. I usually am totally fine with ALL of the TW’s, however I absolutely was not okay with the somnophilia scenes in this book. I can’t remember if they were all this way in her previous books in this series, but I was just disgusted by them. There was no consent whatsoever, which you would think would be a priority seeing as how this woman has experienced a lot of trauma. And the drugging aspect of it didn’t help. I’ve read a good amount of books with somnophilia in them and most, if not all of the FMCs had specifically expressed that they would like to do something like that.
And I know that this is a dark romance and the FMC is morally grey and all that shit, but damn. All of these scenes made me feel so icky… and not to freakin mention that he wasn’t okay having sex with her while drunk, but he is if she’s drugged and asleep and has no idea what’s going on.. WTF

I love this series but I wish it were darker. I love the fact that the MMCs are golden retrievers who do questionable things, but I need more unhinged shit.
