Before We Came by Sloane St. James
Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.

Unfortunately I DNF'd this one. I was SO into it the first 30% but when the entire plot shifted about mid way it lost me. I also was not a fan of the writing style. Very choppy.

This book was frustrating and yet it will be living in my brain for a while. Well-written and a bit of a whirlwind. Unlike any other romance book I've read.

*Edit- I am a few months from reading this and I'm coming back to increase my rating from 4.5 to 5 stars. It's one of those stories that stick with you. 

Amazing story! World and magic building was a little convoluted and confusing at times but it all shook out in the end. End on a cliffhanger. Grrr
