SOO LONG!
but worth reading every page. Super good story about a close to middle aged mother who realizes what she really wants and needs. It's not all about the cash!

This was the first chapter book I ever read... I read it again last year while on my reading kick. Everyone should own a copy of this book. It really lets us all know the importance of reading and our youth!!! Plus I always related to lil Matilda.

I loved the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. This book was much much shorter and much more to the point. In a sense it reminded me of something Kurt Vonnegut would write. She wrote this book while writing the Fountainhead. I guess she needed a little break. But you can definitely tell how this story and the Fountainhead are related. It's only about 100 pages and very easy to read. I recommend this book, because it explains the importance of individuality, and how being and egotist, should not have the connotation of evil and maniacal arogance. Read it, you'll understand. Then read the Fountainhead and fall in love with Howard Roark.

Erin and Adam recommended this book, and I was very pleased!! Gotta say I love when a book has pictures in it and the ones included in this novel make sense and go along with the story. The whole way the novel was written was fun and interesting to go along with... I learned a bunch of random trivia, which I love! There was loads of sad things that happened, but interesting enough I only got teary at the very end... VERY GOOD BOOK!!! you all should read it... I don't think you will be let down!

This book was so good!! It was a little bit creepy, but nothing I couldn't handle (i.e no neck biting). This book was translated into english from Russian and I feel that all detail did NOT get lost in translation. You should all read this book, you will love it.
