This is the second time I’ve read this book and the end still made me cry bc 1. Neil Josten deserves his happy ending and 2. I was sad it was over. Andreil you will always be famous
Overall I had a good time with this! I think it could’ve been a 5 star if not for the pacing of the romance (what happened to let’s go steady? Let’s date? Why are we saying I love u, kissing for the first time, and getting married all in the same week 😭) and the lack of urgency/seriousness surrounding the war and the threats. I really hope the sequel goes a bit more in depth with the fantasy element of the book.
My toxic trait is I think I love weird/speculative fiction but then am left feeling dissatisfied any time I read it because I’m too dumb to understand it
outdated awkward humor , repetitive story beats, underdeveloped romance, and overall boring lol. The art style was visually appealing but nothing unique
