“Crawl under my skin, Soph …” he whispers before brushing his lips over mine. “It will never be close enough.”

What Lovers Do was a sweet, yet stress inducing, “just friends,” to best friends, to only friends, to… well you’ll have to read it to find that out. I kind of adored Sophie and Shep. They have a funny meet cute and every day after that Shep is just busting his butt to try to get Sophie to “not” date him, and Sophie is doing everything she can to legitimately not date him. That said the pull between them is just there. There’s just an effortlessness they feel when they are together, and the ease in which they start to “not” fall for one another makes it clear as the reader that they are meant to be. The banter is so humorous and sweet at times. The similarities between them are many, and you can just see their potential future without it even being spelled out on the pages.

Alas Sophie has a ton of loose ends and questionable past life choices that don’t allow her to offer more than just a friendship at that point in time. Cue up the stressful subplot that I swear added extra (pre-mature) gray hair to my head because at times it felt a little TOO real. Also, the fact that Shep is in a sort of weird place post divorce, so it’s just a little chaotic in between their effortless days together.

All that to say that if you’re looking for a romcom, that has a cup of sweet, a dash of heat, and a sprinkle of real deal life, then you’ll enjoy What Lovers Do.

“I like what I am. I’m not afraid to be more.”

Sabrina Gallo knows who she is and she knows exactly what she wants. It’s all a matter of saying screw expectation and reaching out and taking it, and now figuring out how to do that alongside someone else. Adrik sees Sabrina for the fierce woman that she is. He knows she’s more than anyone could dare to imagine and she is exactly who he wants.

I don’t want to spoil this story for anyone, so I’m going to keep my thoughts as base layer and vague as possible. I think what I love most about The Savage is that Sophie saw how drawn all of us were to Sabrina and truly gave us HER full throttle and without holding back. She’s falling in love in this story and while she knows herself, she’s also finding new parts of herself and creating a life in a new world. She makes mistakes. She gets mad. She speaks her mind. She is insanely human and I love how even though she lives a life they feels unbelievable she is still an extremely real character.

“It scares me. I feel desperate and crazy—way past normal. I feel like I was already on the edge, and then I met you and I jumped right off the cliff.”

Adrik is easy to love as well. He’s so much like Sabrina that it causes a lot of chaos in their relationship, but it’s as if they already know one another so well right off the bat. Sure I wanted to strangle him a few times, but that’s understandable because Sabrina comes first for me. The pull these two had toward one another, the chemistry, and the ease that these two have, even with all the chaos that ensues, usually because of one of them, is just mind blowing. It’s honestly like they each found their perfect pairing in the midst of a rescue mission. What are the odds? Sigh. Just thinking about their love makes me smile.

It’s wild. It’s intense. It’s hot. It’s volatile. And their romance is only a portion of what this story is about. There’s much much more going on than the romance, but yeah it’s obviously one of my favorite parts because not only do they find love they find so much more in one another. Their love and SabrinaAdrik’s journey from page one to the end was just everything I didn’t know that I needed from this story.

I know sophie did us a solid writing this, but with everything that happens in this book I don’t know HOW she could go without giving us more of this world and its characters. I mean… can we stay here forever? Please.

No one sees me as clearly as he does, just as no one is as forbidden as he is. This was always a losing game.

Seven Days was the PERFECT mix of sweet, heat, and taboo. This is an age gap, dad’s best friend, and short term fling lovers daydream in a quick novella form. Nichole did such a good job making me fall for both Thomas and Brianna in a quick amount of time. This story is quick, so the feelings are also quick, these two do spend time getting to know each other in more ways than one. I enjoyed it, and definitely recommend anyone who loves age gap with that extra dash of taboo!

Ok I only read Heir of Sin and Undertow, but i’m stopping with those because while Undertow was complete (there’s more to come though) Heir of Sin was just a taste and I don’t know if I can handle a bunch more stories that make me go crazy and insane waiting for the rest of the book 😂

If you have any amount of chill, go forth and read. If you’re an obsessive nightmare like myself, maybe download it and check to see which ones are complete/novellas.

Heir of Sin / Holly Renee & R. Holmes - dead. I need more ASAP.

Undertow / Sam Mariano - When I say I am OBSESSED with Sam Mariano’s story in this anthology, I mean that I am OBSESSED. Like… it’s a completed story, but it promises SO MUCH more to come and I am anxious for it.

Gemma is a single mother who is dealing with bullying from her jerky neighbors. When the harassment/pranks turn into threats she enlists the help of the towns best lawyer, Hayden Atwater. Unfortunately for her his services are pricey, AND his son is her daughter’s bully. Fortunately for her, Hayden is instantly enamored by her. Well maybe that’s not so fortunate because she could never be with the father of her daughter’s bully, and plus she’s focused on her daughter’s last year at home. Right?! Well, you’ll just have to read it and find out.

Filthy Professor is a professor/student romance that will take you on an emotional, angsty, and steamy ride. From their first meeting I knew that Cas and Taylin had the heat between them, but when they were brought back together by fate and they were both dealing with their own emotional turmoils I knew they were going to build something more than a one night stand. Yes, these two go through it. It’s a rollercoaster and there are many people, circumstances, rules, and pasts that get in their way, but yeah… you’ll just have to see how they figure their “forbidden” relationship out and turn it into their HEA. Like I said, rollercoaster 😂

“Why can’t I stop wanting you? Why can’t I hate you like I should?”

What in the literal heck just happened!? So, yeah. I have no idea what to say that won’t spoil this book, so I’m going to say nothing. It was good. It was great even. And now I’m just here thinking about how I need book three IMMEDIATELY. Help.

A sun that’s in love with the moon. Isn’t that thing doomed in some tragedy?

Nicole and Daniel’s story is essentially childhood enemies who want each other, but will do anything and everything but say that to one another. I thought it was good. It’s more contemporary than dark, but there’s also a lot of angry spicy bits. Enjoyed it, and I’m sort of excited for the next book in this series even though the hero seems another level of mean… can’t wait 😂

“You can’t just go around asking people what their kinks are.”

I knew that I was going to like this book, but I didn’t realize that I was going to love it so much. Charlie just broke up with her ex who was less than good to her, but no worries her ex’s dad is more than happy to… offer Charlie a job as his secretary. Oh and he owns a sex club 😅 no big deal. Though at some point Charlie and Emerson’s relationship goes from being boss/employee to so much more.

I loved this story because not only do we get to read Emerson and Charlie fall in love even when they didn’t plan on it, but Sara also introduces us to a new world of the Salacious Player’s Club and I can’t wait to get more of it. This story is taboo, it’s steamy, it’s sweet, it’s heartfelt, and it gets intense at times too. It’s just a great read, and if you enjoy Dom/sub, praise, and just overall kinky happenings, then you will enjoy Praise. I know I did.

She owns me, and that makes her the most powerful wolf in the five packs. And I don’t think she has a clue.

I enjoyed this. I always love reading about shifter rules and such and just the overall world. That said, I wish this one had a little more heat. There’s tension and a slow build with all that tension, but I don’t know I could have used some more heat. I’m excited to read the next book. A smidge sad it’s about people from another pack, but I’ll live. Hopefully we eventually come back to this pack because I need so many of the lone wolves stories!

“We protect each other. We save each other.”

A long term longing/soulmates, but also make it MC romance. Addie and Bash have always had feelings for each other, but it was never the right time or they just had other tougher things to deal with going on. So it’s finally their time, but with Bash being the president of the MC of course it isn’t simple. I thought this was a good read. There’s some violence and graphic content, but I think that’s to be expected from an MC romance. Anyway, I can’t wait to see what goes down in book two!
