This was my first military style book and Devyn Rivers did an amazing job with the details, plot, and story line. I loved how she incorporated actual war stories as well. I also love, even though there was a HUGE cliff hanger, all my questions from Red Rabbit were answered. Kraven's story was heartbreaking, and you are thoroughly warned in the trigger warnings before beginning, and if you didn't love him in first book then this book may not be for you, but I am still 100% going to recommend it. I cried along with Kraven and my heart broke for him. I am anxiously waiting for her next installment in the story! I am so thankful for the closure I got from Kraven's story.

I love your typical stalker dark romance; however, this one was so much more than just your typical dark romance and I am here for it. The twists and suspense were very well written. I can see how it can be confusing to some, but I am diving into the next book to figure out what the heck is happening, and I am excited. The ending was a twist I was NOT expecting at all, which is everything. It can become repetitive when you have the same happy endings, but this one had me reeling

Out of all three of this series I still believe the first book was my favorite. I really want more of Lydia & Ruhn! Therian can swim off, he was my least favorite character. The second book was mostly his fault, and the drama with Ethan and the Viper Queen was his fault. I think Bryce was a little annoying in this book and she was mean to Hunt. I would have stopped reading if Maas killed my Baxian, he deserved more!

I rounded my rating to a 5 star because it was a fun read. The beginning was a little confusing with the information dump not making sense, but we got through it. There were some cringe parts but overall, it was a fun creative retelling of little red riding hood.

I don’t think anyone can really define what it’s like to go through Stockholm syndrome, but at the end of the day I think this author did a good job of diving down that rabbit hole. The whiplash turn of events and the lack of much needed revenge was a little annoying at first. The first part with the plane crash and not knowing why he was in handcuffs with a US Marshall, but then the development of their relationship was *chefs kiss. I think the abrupt entrance to Cooper and the Warren was a little weird. Once we figured out Graham's story and why he was originally in handcuffs next to a Marshall, and finding out Cooper was part of it or at least the end of his journey, was a little confusing in the moment. It just felt like there was some missing information regarding Graham's story, but I quickly realized the story and journey was not about him really. Again, it’s fiction. I do wish there was a little more revenge for Kaelin, due to the huge amount of abuse she went through. I think everyone umbrellas these types of books as “dark romance” and I feel like it’s more horror erotic, thriller romance? With the sexual scenes. Overall, it was a great book to me, it’s not for everyone.

Not what I expected AT ALL! But it was what I needed in the moment. My dark romance threshold is high, so this was very...light on the darkness. There are some mentions of dark or triggering topics, which I feel would warrant the dark part for some readers. The paranormal aspect of this book was very surprising, and I enjoyed the roller coaster, suspense and spooky vibe. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Kayla and Aiden! <3
