i liked how fast paced it was. This book kept me gasping, screaming with my friends. I LOVEEEE how my perception of characters over time changed and honestly it was amazing. See I didn’t do my research and had no clue that this was a trilogy but I will be reading it in the near future.

I loved it so much. The sometimes dual perspectives were so intoxicating, I just kept reading. Schwab just has a way of writing; it was for me as a person who lovessss romance it was a stray from romance but at a safe distance I loved every ounce of it. I was conflicted on which guy to love. The attention detail, Schwab described at some points what others find indescribable. She made me fall in love with Luc, Henry, EVERYONE

Personally, this felt like a chore to read. Normally, I finish through with the book even when I don’t like it however, this was just not for me.
I feel as though this book isn’t for everyone, my friend loved but overall I felt like there was too much going on and a lot of jumping to conclusions from Nora. I felt like it was a desperate attempt for it to feel as though everything has been solved. I felt so confused for the 60% I read. I didn’t feel as though I was immersed into the world Becca created. I obviously wasn’t her target audience and I just didn’t really enjoy much outside of the Vee interactions and Patch really. I feel like a lot was going on and also it was barely moving at the same time. The prologue was utterly confusing even to where I read to.

This retelling was different in every good way. It wasn’t your typical fan fiction type writing; written with a hint of reality and a clear moral in mind. The characters were so loveable and the ending really sealed it all; the false little happy moments near the end were beautiful. It was beautifully tense at times and it’s a great book to read in a reading slump. Never loved something more.

the book really immerses you, allowing you to feel the adrenaline of Katniss in the Games with her. Classic for a reason and it’s intense in a good way.
