I am not a hundred percent sure what I just read. It was like a decent children’s author had a fever dream which included strange mutations of people she knew in real life and she just wrote down what she remembered of it. 

Who even are these people? What is going on? It’s 420 pages of unexplained relationships and plot-bearing non-sequiturs. I will not get these last few days back.
