This was a really sweet and cozy romance. If you are looking for a romance that is easy and comforting and focused on just the main characters, this is for you. I really enjoyed following this story, while predictable, it was nice.

I was hesitant to start this story because of it's length, and for Fantasy, I typically need to be hooked from the start. Once I got through the first 100 pages or so, I was absolutely taken by this story. It did get slow at moments, but the world building and character building was beautiful. The story progressed so wonderfully that makes the reader truly fall in love with the characters. I am really excited to see what happens next, and it will be an instant read for me as soon as book two comes out!

It was a nice read. Very quant. If you are looking for a calm, easy love story, this is a great place. Lots of talking and a very healthy relationship between the two main characters. And if you love consent, this is your place to be!

The story felt very accelerated. We sped right into a relationship and love. But I see why and where it's going. The world building needs a little more fleshing out but I'm interested in seeing what happens next.

ARC Review: I struggled to get into this book at first. Even at the end of the book, it still feels like it was multiple books in one, just with the multiple plot and conflict arcs, but the plot hooked me about 25% in and I really enjoyed the character building, especially of the side characters. There is lots of potential for additional sequels and prequels within the world and I would be really excited to read it.

The book was really sweet, going into the cozy predictable tropes. The author developed Robbie's character really well. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the insta-love and the 3rd act breakup. But I'm just not a huge fan of those tropes. Overall, it was a solid story. Wish it spent a little more time developing Skyler's character, but I liked it.
