I couldn’t help but feel this book offers a perspective from a very privileged place. It came across as very “white feminist,” but also that the author simply wasn’t a great person. The author discusses that Big Brother and television was wholesome, and maybe it was compared to clothing and modeling industries, but it wasn’t the phrasing I’d pick to summarize what I learned from my work experiences. It wasn’t for me, even though I was interested in learning more about such a large clothing franchise before it’s downfall.
