It's basically The Count of Monte Cristo, but in space, with a side of worldbuilding a cyberpunk dystopia powered by teleportation.
It's pretty good.

It's fairly whimsical, but does a great job of putting the fear of the faerie back into the reader. I thought it would have annoying purple prose, but it makes for very enjoyable reading. Pre-Tolkien fantasy is pretty interesting.
