even though the ending felt pretty weak and kinda came out of nowhere imho, this book genuinely spooked the fuck out of me!! like I had to put it down and stop reading multiple times and pretty much every part is living in my head rent free for the foreseeable future. idk if a book has ever scared me this badly before so that easily excuses the pretty tepid ending in my opinion
