Absolutely loved this book. It showcases how observing Alan Rickman was of his surroundings, rarely a glance of egocentrism.

Through him, you learn so much of the qualities and faults of the people he was surrounded by. His vivid style of writing causing every sentence to pop off the page and fester in your mind.

His mentions of his partner Rima, however brief they might be, portray a relationship filled with deep love and admiration - something so seemingly rare it might make you envious.
The switch to Rimas perspective at the end of the diaries, which has her describing her last weeks with Alan, is so tender and bittersweet it made me cry.
