The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides

i can’t give this book any higher of a rating just because it was so hard to get through.
i understand why the book is written from the perspective that it is and all that it has to say about the boys and how they view the girls and their situation and i appreciate what its doing but i just don’t think it was for me.

this just felt underdeveloped.
the first half was a drag to get through especially when it cuts away from the main group we’re following it felt like it needed to meet a word count so it kept adding in extra scenes that felt really unnecessary almost like if there were multiple cold opens in a movie.
though the action does pick up there’s nothing really compelling about any of it.
