Fun! A conspiracy to make Deadpool give birth to various symbiotes??? Β―\_(ツ)_/Β― Everything in Marvel comics is symbiotes????? Anyways, I love Alyssa Wong's writing: it is not boring, tired, or dead. Instead joy and fun across the page - that’s comics, baby.

The colours!?!? This spirt world story has some of the most beautiful colour choices I have ever read in a comic - magic explodes from page to page. I know very little about Bat Girl, Constantine or Xanthe, but this is a short series I wanted to squeeze in while I had a free trial of DC Infinite. So so so cool. Alyssa Wong just rocks, they are an awesome non-binary writer to read.

WOW. Just as beautiful and full of decay as I remembered Vol 1. 😳β™₯️ CHAPTER NINE WITH HARLEY QUINN TRIPPING THROUGH SEATTLE. Amazing! The entire volume is gorgeous, political, fascinating, well-paced, unbelievable. I am spoiling myself by reading so many beautiful comics at the start of the year.

Colleen Hoover must be shaking - this book starts with a rooftop scene seven years before hers and it has a brooding gentleman that is 1000 times as cute and fun. This book is a testament to the joys of being a romantic, even if you are a demon falling in love with a human. πŸ₯Ίβœ¨β™₯️ Loved the humour, it was a nice way to start the year!!!

Written in 2021 as a love letter to tight, hot spaces full of dance. And god, THE DANCE BATTLING: Iori vs Usen is such a satisfying chapter??? I nearly cheered out loud to my inanimate book??? β™₯️✨ This was an excellent manga volume, loved the inclusion of pounding heart imagery. Love that this manga always gives you music suggestions to listen to. Great, great, great.

I had a free week of Marvel Unlimited and I am glad I picked this series up - it was surprisingly great???? The first Marvel comic I have enjoyed in a long time. It just rocks on every level - an exploration of a woman's anger, animal testing, aliens! The character work is fantastic, the story fascinating. "Harry abused me." 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I just had no idea that symbiotes have become such a big thing in Marvel now - there is one for every colour in the rainbow!

Clean, tender depiction of a 2000s mall goth making a go of life and trying to navigate a predatory adult messaging her! So well done. Kudos to this Canadian artist, I am definitely a new fan. πŸŽŠπŸ’•

Not what I expected at all, in here are two stories that build up a LOT of tension and then kindly release you at the end.

Novella 1/
The suspense is intense in the way only a suburban drama could be??? The husband grew on me in a way that expanded my heart??? I loved the idea of the wolf at the door, a wolf in a bed, and then having it all vanish.

Novella 2/
SUBMISSION IS THE NAME OF THE GAME. This second story took me by surprise and made me drop the book for a while - a submissive nun devotes herself to a blind man, the blind man's lawyer discovers what bdsm is in her own separate journey.

This book was not pulp! It is more akin to a reflective and thoughtful Lifetime drama from a more thoughtful universe.

More sweet than the previous volumes. Seri is a genuinely good edition to the story, love the reflections on love as a popular person, 3.5 stars.

Junji Ito LOVES this work and god, it is something else: Thick ink lines. A depressed cat-human-demon boy going from horror to horror. A surreal look at humanity.

The chapter on the little boy who liked to nail bugs to a board was so macabre!!! The layers of surreal horror is something.
