Russia is mother land of Foreign intelligence, however in example, US has no such thing so far. As we can read on first page of this book.

Because secret service or espionage is gathering information about enemy by definition, and as government is serving people no one divides spy doctrine between foreign and other
.
So you might Ask what spy are for in internet age. Well, when we have 99.9% of information on web wire, rest 0.01% is what spies are looking for.

Also GRU and KGB has different view on anything like with Jimmy Carter whom KGB dislike for human rights as escaping from USSR was punished by death. On the other hand GRU, military espionage has nothing against him, and thought of him as asset.

Besides in xx century ancient Greek two stage war doctrine become 3D and in between tactic and strategy we have operations.

You can even think that communists grasped whole world in espionage and fall as aby other empire. But just to think of that, both sides of Berlin wall were influenced by red. The only difference between East and west has been, west that was naked but free.

Furthermore, soviet diplomats were thought to be spies, like in case of attaché who knew lady having romance with British minister of war. Or gathering information about American defense location through Switzerland, which has bought it for themselves.

When „ illegal” spy (soviet that pretends to have another nationality) is exposed. Can show backup documents. In that case, polish nationality citizen who has escaped from prison. At The same time Russian forces inform polish government to act according to their will.

Strictly speaking spy is foreigner, others are military officers, but there are agents who fought in „Freedom” wars in Africa and Central America, who has been just terrorists. Like RAF, German Rote Armee Fraktion.

These who could travel abroad were privileged ones and therefore to keep the place would do anything even to best friends.

Also soviet satellite countries has to pay back Russia for goods, with their goods or other's secrets.

And above all, losing tail was forbidden.

I do recommend this book to an enthusiast of History that is connected to Soviets, Russia or Second World War and above as it has been written by honest, open minded and wise literate with experience.

Interesting facts about II RP state (second Republic of Poland) which is just after first Ward War when Poland happened to be again after Resurrection. There are many interesting facts from life of 20th Century Poland between World Wars and in-between Polish-Bolshevik War. Facts like, assassination of First Polish President Gabriel Narutowicz. Further in we can read about secrets and scandals of “Sanacja”. Next author describes to us moral values, as in case of Rita killing 17 year old Elizabeth, that murder shocked publicity. Then there are economic affairs like planes that were to rot on French soil after Poland payed for them. Or selling very cheaply 19th century factory in Żyrardow (town boiled for workers class).

That book in interesting way shows life of 18th century women, her way of her life goals.

Her early years were harsh but despite that she had Interesting life.

She was very often painted as e.g. goddess Circe.

Later on her fashion was desirable, as being quite known in society. When she was with Captain Nelson & in difficult times for aristocracy, revolutionary times. She even become close friend of Queen Maria Carolina of Austria.

And then she was spending lots of pound when being under Nelson's wings. Only to go in debts after his death.

She have left her life in London and Naples but died on French soil “just months before the End of the War.”

It’s moving Biography of women whose life hardened her a bit and with sad ending to the story.

Book that shows what astronaut has to go through, and how they're wisdom emerges. From very long and exhausting walks in space to preparations for flight in Russia.

The only thing I feel against about is heaving to read plot that isn't chronological, but broken into many parcels.

But despite that, its amazing how we can realize that Americans and Russians are in space, side by side as friends and comrades. That even these who are from States, go to Russia to train and flight from there.

Also this idea of home with no gravitation and many daily tasks to do is reality that gives you background to understand this profession and life that comes with it.

Half billion pounds, is How much England has paid for fight with Napoleon, paying
anyone who dare to help.

To begin with, Napoleon's enthusiasts think even that God has send rain on times of battles
Napoleon could not use his favourite weapon, artillery.

At war, same as in love. To end you have to be in the closeness.
So, french think that Napoloens defeat was success of faith as he was to good to win, and
payed the price, just like Joanna d’Arc did.

In two decades french developed interesting ideas about wining Wotterlo, such as, that
they captured more baners, some say, even six, losing only two eagels. Other one is that
first part of the battle hes been won by french, second by British.

Pierre Cambronne has said " merde!" in response to proposal of surrender. And that naked him a winner in enthusiasts eyes.

Le memorial de sainte-helene memorial is like Bible to bonapartists. Napoleon has written
there why he has been called petit coprol, not because of his height, but that hi has fought
in Armee d’Italie, french invasion army, not Italian. As swell written that he didn't crave for
crown, that he got it up from gutter, given by people.

There are also other books on the subject that are mensioned, with one example of french
paranoia that everyone is against the France, an that Waterlo is more like lottery win,
rather then wining. As for me I will always be in favor of Aristocracy, that core of France.

English Accuracy, precaution, geometry, prudence intuition... vs french intuition of
guessing... is the ground scenery of this conflict.

baccalauréat, french A levels or matura in Polish was invented by Napoleon for students
entering high school. Name of this exam is meaning preparing to become scholar or
knight.

Finally defeat of Napoleon has been whining ground for France as France could grow and
prosper after that period.

It’s not only book about Diana, it contains details of life of modern British aristocracy, such as house of Windsor. Witten by “the leading Royal writer” that makes Diana’s history present.
