Casket Case follows Nora, a casket store owner, and Garrett, a logistics coordinator for Death. This wasn’t the light and quirky rom com I was expecting but I really enjoyed it. Nora is imperfect and messy and her relationship with Garrett is imperfect and messy. I liked the small town romance mixed with heavier themes. I liked following Nora as she navigated grief, figured out what she wanted for her future, and learned to accept death as a part of life. I thought this was a great debut and am looking forward to reading more by Lauren Evans.

Solid start to the series. I liked the world, the magic system, the sloooow burn romance, and our FMC Diem. She was frustrating at times but I’m excited to see her grow through out the series. Will definitely continue!

This is an incredible series and Fate of the Sun King was an amazing continuation of the story. I absolutely love Nisha J Tuli’s writing and world building skills. I can’t wait for the final book later this year.

Her Dark Salvation mixes two of my favorite things, paranormal and mafia romance. I really enjoyed the main characters and loved that our FMC is in her 40s. I loved watching her leave her comfort zone and go after things she wants for herself. The book is well written and the romance and spice were also great! I love that this is the start of an interconnected stand alone series and will definitely pick up the rest of the books as they’re published.

Honey Cut is book 2 of the Lyonesse trilogy, an MMF romance following Mark, Tristan, and Isolde. The pacing in Honey Cut is much slower than it was in Salt in the Wound (prequel novella) and Salt Kiss (book 1) and you just have to trust the process. I wasn’t expecting that so I was a little frustrated with the first half. Now that I’ve finish the pacing makes sense. The drama and spice were so good! Isolde’s connection to the Church is so interesting. I love the web of lies and secrets and can’t wait for the final book!
