Both Dean and Ava have a traumatic past that causes them to be afraid to trust and love. Dean made sure that Ava could trust him. Slowly creating a bond between the two. 

The way they meet and how they became friends and slowly dating was so cute. I really enjoyed how Anna Callaway created this unique story. I do recommend to check trigger warning. 
To be my first book to read about nurse and inmates it wasn't bad. Also the book is in third person POV, I usually never read but I finished it in 2 days.

This book gives fall vibes! 🍂 The way they started as friends. Mario Kart dates. I enjoyed the first half of the book more than the last half. The first half was then getting to know each other. The second half was hard for me, because of the miscommunication between them and the repetitive of them arguing.  But the end was worth it!

I enjoyed how the author included different race and also LGBTQ representation. Frannie (best friend) I adore her she was my favorite character in this book. I think the author did an excellent work. Also if you love Spanish Love Deception then you'll probably like this one too.  Something that I wanted to know more is her family but everything was beautiful written. I would definitely be waiting for the next book this author writes.

I really enjoyed this book especially since it has plus size representation. I would give it a 4 or 3.5⭐️. I did find some of the words to repeating but the author did great for a debuted book. Although fmc kinda annoyed me at the beginning but it's only the first few chapters. It has Sunshine x grumpy, dark romance, and Kinda he falls first. Can't wait what Lila Herron does with the other characters in this stoy or any storyline.
