Cozy mystery novel, was a good fluff novel to turn off the brain.

only reason why I didn’t give this a solid 5 stars is I found the book a little hard to get into but once I got my claws in; I was absolutely hooked. Love that the main character is the villain?? Can’t wait for book two!!!

This book contains some of Rupi Kaur’s darker poems which may be triggering to some (some poems in the first section I found a little hard to read emotionally). Aside from that it was a beautiful collection and I will re-read it again in the future .

That was painful to read. Love connections made 0 sense and the FMC was intolerable. The book moved at such a fast pace that it missed really key moments that would have really developed the story. Maybe im too old to enjoy it or maybe it’s just really bad writing.

So much potential… but a total mess. Kenji saved the book otherwise it would have been a 2.5 star rating
