It's legitimately disgusting and one of the hardest books I've ever read. I can normally power through rough scenes and moments but had to put the book down every couple of pages to get a break. It's constantly gross, constantly dark. There are no happy moments. 
Please for the love of God check other peoples content warnings if you want to read this. If you do decide to read it, take your time reading it, don't try rush it.
