really interesting premise and the mystery had me gripped from beginning to end! i would've rated higher, but i wasn't a fan of the final confrontation. the world building was definitely the strongest part of this book, i'd love to see this world explored further

the start was a little rough (daisy comes off as a bit insufferable at first) but once it gets going it's so immersive. i didn't expect to get as invested in daisy and billy's relationship as i did :') such a bittersweet story. also, the audiobook was incredible and i can't imagine experiencing the story in any other way
