Great inspiration, told with a lot of love for the genre. Met some great women. A larger review is on my website.

This was just utterly, amazingly, profoundly beautiful. A reading blog is on my website.

Short and sweet. I liked the quirky charters. They were feminist, socialist, atheists. That was really refreshing in a novel from this time period. The audiobook was spot on, happy I read it this way.

My favourite children’s book of 2020 so far. I had never read it before (seen the movie multiple times). I listened to the audiobook read by the author and it was amazing! A dark and exciting story full of imagination. Such a unique story. One note: the audiobook contained music, I’m not a fan of adding that to audiobooks.

So interesting. Now I will research, read and write about it. I love this part.

I love the story and I love the wit with which it was written. But the book itself was too fast, with too many characters switching perspective all the time for me to absolutely love it.

The last few chapters were so good! Yes. This was great. I loved it more than A Room with a View. Maurice is next on the list, but not for a while.
