SOOO GOOODDDD!!!  A true rom-com. I adore Kareena; she's smart and strong and just so kind-hearted. Prem is so caring and loving even if he doesn't recognize it in himself. AND THEM TOGETHER!? WOWWWW
The side characters and their banter were like a cherry on top. Sent me through a wave of emotions and is now my top romance read.

A friends-to-lovers romance with second chance mixed in. I loved it. I don't want to compare it to the first book in the Primas of Power series as it is a standalone (with cameos of characters from the first book),  however, I did enjoy this one more than the first. The romantic build-up felt more genuine with memories from the past and the characters figuring out how they fit together now after so many years apart. There is a lot of focus on Gabe's development which I thoroughly enjoyed as we see him attempt to understand and handle family complications (and their consequences) from long ago. The inclusion of Gabe and Michelle's messenger chats from when they were teens, while brief, was great in showcasing how easily the characters connect and bounce off each other. I love it and I was happy-crying for them towards the end.

I really liked it but I know my love for it was because it was my first romance read. I still enjoyed it but I would rank it lower than I originally did (5).
