Can't stop thinking about it. Woolf's writing is very personal. Makes you feel like she is talking to the reader and communicating very specific, but relatable human emotions in a way that still holds up today, and that I don't think many writers today could even come close to

ļoti cerēju, ka man patiks šis romāns!!! pirmā 1/3 pietiekami aizraujoša un noturēja manu uzmanību, bet pēc kāda laika stāsts kļuva lēnāks un, lai gan varu novērtēt lēnāku un paplašinātāku rakstīšanas stilu, pats sižets nebija pietiekami interesants. dažreiz gadījās kāds labs citāts vai apraksts. neesmu vēl lasījis pašas Šķipsnas darbus, jo nodomāju sākumā izlasīt šo, bet, no tā ko sapratu no šī romāna, Šķipsniņai arī piemīt līdzīgs rakstīšanas stils Jansonei.

very interesting portrayal of human relationships. the little details make it very accurate and interesting. the writing could get a bit boring at times but the plot and characters made up for it.
