Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, Vol. 11 by Yuji Kaku

Overall, it was good but not perfect as usual. We learn more about the new characters and their past. I'm especially interested in Jikka (the one on the cover). I'm also super curious about who is going to survive the island because I'm 99% sure pretty much everyone is going to die. The problem is I'm getting attached to these characters too quickly and their deaths would make me super sad. Aaannd after many many chapters I'm finally understanding the Tensen and their motive. That's the beauty of Jigokuraku in my opinion. Whether Tensen, Criminal, or Executioner, you can relate to many of these characters. We are getting so close to the end and I'm scared.

It was good but not as good as the previous one in my opinion. It felt rushed and I felt like something was missing (that "oomph" in the previous volume). In this book, we learn more about Gabimaru's past and Iwagakure in general. That was very interesting and the new characters also look appealing. However, as I said the whole volume felt too rushed. I understand we are getting close to the end but the series did not have this problem before. I also hate pretty much 90% of the new characters (not because of how they are written but because they are evil, especially that Shugen guy). We'll see what happens next.

Now we're talking! I was waiting for a volume like this. This one was much better compared to the previous ones. It made me emotional but I was also super hyped all the time. Of course, the MVP of this volume is Shion, our blind Sensei. The scenes including him and Nurugai were amazing. I'm also loving the character development of the others like Aza Chobei and even the Dragon dude. The ending has a nice twist and I'm really excited about what happens next. Hopefully, it will continue at this pace.

"Tanrını Uçtuğu Vakit", "Ölüm", "Whatever Happened to You" ve kitaba adını veren "Adagio" şiirleri benim özellikle beğendiklerim oldu.

This volume was full of action and I really liked it. I'm especially loving the character development of Aza brothers (Chobei and Toma). The characters are well-written in my opinion and you can see how they're improving both physically and mentally throughout the story. Even the cold-blooded killer Gabimaru is much different now. I think Gabimaru is still my favorite but I also started to warm up to the others (not the villains though). However, I'm still not sure if I'll be able to find that "perfect" volume. So far, it's been interesting enough for me to continue reading but I'm not sure when we'll reach that climax.

Overall, it was good but for reasons unknown, I did not enjoy this as much as I did with the previous volumes. There are a bunch of new characters some of them being Asaemon executioners. Our "heroes" have formed an alliance so that they can fight Tensen(s). The whole training + infiltration scenes were good. Learning more about Tao and Tensen is also a plus, especially because of whole mythological/religious references. Tao seems interesting mainly because it is very similar to Nen from Hunter x Hunter. There aren't a lot of volumes in this series so I'm curious how it's going to end.

This was better than volume 5 in my opinion. It was revealed in the previous volume that Gabimaru somehow lost his memories. Therefore, this volume focuses on Gabimaru and the people around him. The fights were good again. I'm super curious about Aza Chobei's future as he seems very interesting (of course other than Gabimaru). We also learn more about the island and its inhabitants. In addition, there are some new characters who are sent as reinforcement. The author is not shy about killing important people so right now I don't know who will survive.

It was definitely weaker compared to the previous volume but I still enjoyed it. This volume focuses more on Sagiri's group (Yuzuriha, Senta and later others). They face another Lord Tensen and the fight itself was good but the ending was anticlimactic in my opinion. Seeing Yuzuriha in action was good and her character is super bubbly. I'm also curious about Sagiri's future. The book ends with a certain plot twist about our boy Gabimaru. In short, overall it is good but we'll see what happens in the future.

After watching the 10th episode of the anime, I was super curious so I decided to read the following parts. The anime covered the 30th chapter of the manga but the 4th volume begins with chapter 27. With this out of the way, this was a great volume in my opinion. I can see that the anime is pretty loyal to the source material. I like the author's style. The characters are interesting (I'm now very curious about Chobei) and the story is very engaging. I'll definitely read the following volumes as the anime will soon end I think.
