Did not finish book. Stopped at 33%.
This is definitely a me problem…I struggled with how many dang characters were being introduced in every single chapter! I couldn’t keep up. I wanted to love this so much! I just couldn’t follow what was happening. Not DNFing forever, maybe I’ll try it again this year.

The Wishing Game was an absolute delight to read! I was hooked right away. An absolutely feel-good story of belonging, family, and doing anything for the people you love. I loved the Willy Wonka vibes, I loved the characters and their flaws. It was more emotional than I was anticipating with just a hint of romance. A perfect read for a cozy day.

Small Things Like These was a bit of a disappointment for me. I went in expecting a life changing book that would have me crying, contemplating life’s meaning and it did not do that for me!
The story was sweet, tender, but because it’s such a short book it also felt really rushed for being a little heavier in topic.
I understand how someone could be moved by this story, especially since the writing is beautiful, it just wasn’t the story for me.

I had the greatest time reading this book! Recommended to me because I enjoyed House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune, this felt very similar in the best way!
A cute story about finding your place in the world and found family, The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches had me laughing and getting teary eyed.
I really enjoyed it and highly recommend to anyone who loves stories of magic and friendship, with the teeniest touch of romance!
