I think this was a great read. It is intensely existential concerned with feminism in a deeply conceptual way. It it heavily intertwined with Camus’ The Myth of Sisyphus & what existence means in a meaningless world. This was a quick read and was easy to knock out in one sitting. The sci-fi elements are pretty light and act more as a backdrop for the philosophical explorations of the books, so I would caution you if you are hoping to be propelled by the sci-fi elements.

I’m going to equate it to a fault of translation, but I found the writing of this book horribly dreadful and rough to get through — like dragging your feet through thick mud.

It was hard to enjoy or connect with the book on a conceptual level because of this.
