This short novella was too sweet and naive for me, but I hope it finds the right audience 💜

So what I've read before, the trope of marriage of convenience involves two people who sort of know each other, and one is already halfway in love. Here, however, Nic and Ren just meet on the plane and hit it off, and honestly, it just starts as a regular relationship only expedited because of their families' expectations. And I think because of that, it is clear how very much partnership-like this marriage starts off. There's no pretence, no games, just honesty (OK, I realise he sort of lies about that one thing, but at the end of the day, it's not that big of a deal). And as they spend time together, they fall in love, naturally.
I just vibed with this book, I don't know how to explain it any better. I loved how they grew their relationship, how her friends just accepted and made space for him in their circle, and how they genuinely enjoyed their company from the start. It made me feel things, and it made me laugh.

I am the kind of person who needs to feel connected to a book to give it 5 stars. And if you make me feel things for more than 30% of the book, you earned my respects.
Stick to the Recipe is a gorgeous piece of emotional romance. Annabel is one of those FMC who doesn't make herself to be anything other than what she is, she doesn't play games, she doesn't pretend. She is who she is, can she take care of herself? Sure, of course, which woman in this climate doesn't. But she also recognises that she DOESN'T have to, especially with David. And that's what I like about her.
Anyway, even though this book is sweeter and less smutty than my usual choices, I vibed with it and I loved it.
