I took a lot longer to get through this book than the first in the series and I have been trying to figure out why. I was enjoying this one, but it didn't captivate me the same way. I loved the representation of PTSD and having a dog run around. Loved the main couple together, but I think it dragged a bit, but also at the same time I think a lot of it was needed. I was still giggling and smiling while reading this, but it just didn't give the right vibe.

This had such good growth for the main character over the book and becoming her own person. I really loved that message in here. I feel like it could have been a little shorter and while there was growth over the book I wish there was better communication for the main romance. I also really wished this was duel pov, and I think it would have enhanced the reading experience.

I feel like I learned a lot from this book. I read it for one of my classes and enjoyed the content and the way the argument was presented. Eschmann focuses on college campuses and Twitter for his study which I believe are extremely valid for his argument, however because this book is so new I would have loved to see more about TikTok as this is a big platform for activism for younger people.

That being said this was still an amazing book!

This was mid for me. I was very confused for the first couple chapters, and almost DNFed it, but by chapter 5 it picked up and started making sense to me. Then I was fairly invested for a good chunk of the rest of it at which point I was glad that i didn't DNF it, but then the ending felt like it dragged on way longer than I wanted and kinda ruined it for me. This defiantly made me want to read more mysteries, but I did not have the best experience with it overall.

This was a cute little read. I listened to it during a drive and it was super cute. I liked the premise that most of the book was over phone calls, it was interesting and I wasn't expecting it at all. An enjoyable but not super memorable read.

YES!!! I was so scared to pick up this book because it is large for a romance book. I was intimidated by it, but I wish I would have read this sooner. I loved everything about this book, the sense of community, small town vibed and family, the main romance was amazing and it felt messy in a good way. This book gave me so many emotions from giggling to crying. I flew through these pages and never wanted to stop reading. It didn't feel like 560 pages at all!

Stepping back into this world was very enjoyable. I loved this one more than the first one, I felt like it didn't drag on as much. Evelyn's personal growth really resonated with me and I loved watching her find her happy.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this because the synopsis was interesting but I wasn't sure if I would like it. This was a cute palate cleanser for me. I did enjoy it while listening, but it was a little too fluffy for me and I'm not sure I will think about this a whole lot moving forward.
