I much preferred the second half of this book and actually the ending is better than the film. That being said, this book is unfortunately a victim of its age. It's views on women are misogynistic at best, and doesn't have the best grammar. Gave a high rating due to the end

Just a cute, light hearted steminist book. Honestly not sure why everyone's so mad in their reviews - I was very happy reading it. Nothing toxic, a cute hedgehog, and brilliant narration. What's not to love

At first I wasn't a fan of the play because I found the pace too inconsistent. However, by the end, everything was wrapped up neatly. I enjoyed the characters and darker plot points that underpin the play

There were parts that were laugh out loud funny, parts I nearly cried from boredom, and I found a part of my future wedding vows. A mixed review for a mixed novel

It was alright - I preferred the romance parts to the war parts. I didn't fully understand a lot of the characters and there was too much moving back and forth between the two sides of the war

Was definitely a guilty pleasure read! The grammar and story telling wasn't great, and I didn't like Calebs plot and Flashbacks, and would have been better if we didn't know why livvie was kidnapped, however the overall content was too good to put it down

Quite enjoyed this one. I love the contrast between democracy and war, and I think the role of the women is a really interesting one. Very relevant in a 21st C setting

Really though I was going to like this more than I did. I think all in all the film is better than the book, but I presume this is because I don't read much nonfiction which this is in the style of. Beautiful world building though and impressive in its global scope

Struggled to get through these. There's just a lot of them and they're all saying the same thing with limited narrative. Would not be able to retain any of them

I think this is one of my favourite Shakespeares. I loved the presentation of family and Rosalind as a character.
