Audiobook review. Did I intently listen to this book? Yes. Do I have any idea what it’s about? No. I missed something and couldn’t figure out how everything connected. Ah well. The full cast was delightful, though!

I read this for work and liked it. There’s a lot in it that really good teacher-leaders do already but I appreciated the traps and tools and antidotes being spelled out. I’m definitely more aware of how I’m asking questions in my day to day life than before reading this book.

This is an excellent book. Written for educators but I think even parents would find it helpful. Much of this stuff is covered in “Good Inside” and “Listen” and “The Whole Brain Child,” parenting books that are all about connection.

Audiobook review. This book is well constructed and heart-warming. I felt like I really knew the people, yes, but especially the turtles, after reading this book. The author wove in Covid and how that impacted how time felt without it being all about how she was reporting during Covid. I recommend if you love reading about passionate people doing what they love.

Audiobook review. Patchett is a master writer and after this, I would listen to her read any of her pieces. I have so many images in my head based on the writing in this book that will stick with me.

Audiobook review. I really loved this book. It was a book about a family of women and I appreciated that the men were only side characters. While you might have a hunch where the book is going, it’s still surprising when you get to the end and Acevedo’s narration is wonderful.

Audiobook review. I had to start this book over because it seemed I was missing something. I’m glad I did, because I had! I really enjoyed the storytelling and how the different characters were so well placed on their time. What a well-crafted story.

Audiobook review. Not the typical book I pick up but it was fairly light (besides the death) and fun. A quick listen with a great narrator.
