Not for me. There was just not enough movement (was there any?) for the main character and I just got annoyed. I actually had to skim through to the end once I was about 80% through which I have never done. The turning point for Auren did not feel earned. She spent the entire 2.75 books being useless and feeling sorry for herself and then all of a sudden with no real catalyst, she acts as though things have changed... and then goes right back to being useless. I gave this a chance. I suffered through 3 books to get here. Unfortunately, this ends the series for me. I wish the best to Auren and Rip. But I truly looked forward to this book being over.

I've never felt so complete after finishing a book. This was perfection. I was so invested in each and every one of these characters and for the first time EVER I was equally excited for every POV. I would give a lot to read this again for the first time and will recommend it to any fantasy fan. The combination of Eastern and Western culture, the strong feminine protagonists, the dry humor and reliability of the characters, the dragons. I can't say enough good things.
