This was a good audiobook listen for a trip with my spouse especially while driving a rocky inhospitable island where I think it would suck to be shipwrecked on. There was almost too much detail that at times it was hard to keep all the people straight but I appreciated that this book really felt like a swashbuckling story from start to finish.

Truly the most perfect book to read on a hiking trip where I can't help but marvel at the beauty of the world. What an interesting world and friendship (love story?) Becky Chambers created and shared with readers.

Show me a more objectively perfect rom com. I'll wait. Because I don't think you can find one!! I truly loved this book and it hit all the 2000s rom com & Hallmark Christmas movies nostalgia I could ever want while also having the serious notes of how to handle death, grief and hard medical diagnoses (BRCA 1).
This book was so special and a must read as fall comes and everything is magically flavored with pumpkin and cinnamon. Now excuse me while I go explain to my spouse that I want to be Billy Crystal'd (in a When Harry Met Sally kind of way.).

This was the perfect back to school read for this time of year as my morning commute became a little longer with school buses and student drivers dotting my route to work. A series of connected vignettes, it was fun to see the big picture of the teachers and staff at one high school who I slowly became attached to. While I wish there was a little more plot, this was a great little audiobook for anyone who enjoys shows like Abbott Elementary.

I do not understand why it took until 2024 to have a traditionally published indigenous romance but I'm glad we're here and that there was even a sneak peek of Danica's next book at the end!! It's so important to see joy for all people of all backgrounds and Danica truly shared so much of the joy and love she feels for her Chickasaw Nation in this book.
I loved Ember so much with her feisty go getter attitude and how she was always willing to try. But because I loved her so much I also was stressed out for her the whole time as her lies got bigger and bigger. Thank goodness this was a romance novel and I knew she would get her happy ending regardless of what happened. And then Danuwoa was just perfect and I loved them together.
This book was basically Suits but set it in an Oklahoma tech firm with fantastic Native American characters so if that sounds good to you, you will enjoy this book.

Everyone with a uterus should read this book. And even if you don't have a uterus, I think this is still a good one. Very technical at times, I appreciate how Karen broke down so many women's health occurrences from the symptoms to what it is to the treatment, but I think what was most valuable was her focus on providing tools for how to better communicate better with your doctor. This book was so good, I learned so much and I will be recommending it to so many friends.

I can't believe it took 5 years to finally read this book but I am so glad I finally did. This is one of those perfect stories that captures so much heart, so much history and so many important parts of life. Marjan created this wonderfully crafted story with these small twists that just made the story even richer. I can't wait to read her recent publication!

I thoroughly enjoyed book one of this series and found book two to just be okay but I finished it and was curious to see the completion of the series.
Unfortunately the whole book hinges on Margrete and Bash's obsessesion for each other with no additional depth to create a larger conflict against the gods. A fantasy world should build beyond the relationship to create a higher level of intrigue and suspense but this book is clearly only going to depend on Margrete being mad her boyfriend is dead so it's a no for me.

Probably one of the most memorable nonfiction books I'll read this year. Brittney reckons with the simple mistake she made that had a life changing consequence & her experience being detained and jailed in Russia. It's one thing to be aware of how harsh Russia is on people who break the law, but it's another to hear about the prison conditions and not so fair legal practices. People should not be geopolitical pawns & Brittney's story is important for how it can help everyone look at how we can make the world a better place.
