Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher
5.0
Where to start! I really don't want to be here writing a novel of a review so I'm going to TRY and keep it short and sweet.
Being a huge fan of Gi Fletcher, I knew I'd love this book before I even bought it, but boy I did not expect to love it like I do! Without a doubt, one of my favourite books of all time. Like Gi said herself, she wrote this story with the hopes of presenting to the world the reality of dating a celebrity and whilst reading I just felt how real it was! She didn't paint it to be some pretty picture, she told it how it was and so I praise her for capturing the truth.
Sophie May, the protagonist in the novel is so relatable to me in so many ways. She loves books, tea, a quiet lifestyle and her family so when reading 'Billy & Me', I couldn't help but feel like I was reading a novel about future me. So that was really nice.
As I've said in previous reviews, I am not someone to cry or laugh at books however I can still find them hilarious or emotional. This book is now the third book for me to have ever cried at, but even though it is third, I definitely cried the most at 'Billy & Me'. I blubbered basically. On multiple occasions. And at some point in the story I just couldn't stop laughing literally! So well done Gi for allowing me to actually LOL and release them emotions!
Sophie and Billy as a couple I think are perfect! I was so happy with each character individually so together they were just wonderful. I became so worried and upset towards the end of the novel, worrying they were over forever, I felt like I was the one going though a breakup! If I hadn't known that there was a second novel waiting for me on my bookshelf, I would have been concerned for their future together ;) !
But I would just like to say I am incredibly proud of Gi for writing this corker of a book, I loved every moment and cannot wait to delve more into the lives of Sophie, Billy and their loved ones in 'Always With Love'.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
5.0
First read - 4**** This book took me a long time to read but I did really enjoy it! After reading FanGirl, I fell in love with the idea of Cath's fan fiction becoming an actual novel itself by Rainbow Rowell.
I loved the magical elements of the book, the characters were very likeable and the romance was really enjoyable to read about. The only reason I haven't given this book a 5 star rating is purely because I think it could have been a bit more fast paced in parts and it simply isn't up there with my all time favourites. If like me you found this book difficult to get into then just CARRY ON (you'll understand the joke if you read the book).
Don't get me wrong, it is a really good book and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Second read - 5*****
Can’t understand why I didn’t give this book 5* last time as I’ve always considered it a really good book and I absolutely loved reading it this time! Can’t wait to read Wayward Son next.
