The artwork was amazing but I didn’t realize it was nonfiction about survival and wolves and the circle of life and all. Still good but maybe for older elementary readers ready to learn more about that

An excellent graphic memoir with very well done artwork. There was so much raw truth told with fantastical elements as metaphors for the pain and anger Sarah Myer felt growing up as a transracial adoptee in a rural town that was very much a product of its times in the 90s/early 2000s. I really liked this one, though it was a difficult read at times.

This was cute story about friendship and finding yourself with double Dutch as the action. The artwork was bright and messy. A cute and short graphic novel.

Tragic and beautiful with an interesting premise. I feel like fans of Jennifer Niven’s books would love this one.

That was dark and twisty and I’m not 100% what happened really but I enjoyed it and can see it being a favorite of several sci fic loving teens

This is Gender Queer, but written for teens. I loved the way the author share their experiences in a metaphorical way (as well as straight forward) that I think will resonate with teens a lot. The artwork gives Adventure Time vibes and I liked the color palette. This was a fast paced, excellent graphic memoir about finding yourself that I would recommend for all high school library collections.

Excellent in every way! I was hooked from the beginning and felt the writing was so personable and easy to sit with like with an old friend sharing a story. I liked the three others that were a part of campus life and the fight for Civil Rights got sections of their own within this memoir. Beth Wilson’s was my favorite. I’m so glad this book exists and it’s such an important one that I highly recommend to Normanites and Oklahomans in general.
