I don't think this was for me, the characters were two dimensional and the storyline made little to no sense and too many of the characters were dislikable

Cute town grumpy/sunshine romance. Very hyped on tiktok and it was cute and an easy and enjoyable read.
I'm not sure there was much depth to the characters but I had a nice time reading it

This was a lovely YA sapphic romance, I think calling it a pride and prejudice retelling is a little much as lot of the classis themes found in P&P were skirted over by the ADHD subplot in this book (which is absolutely fine and a lovely self-discovery subplot) but means that the main themes of P&P kind of get lost.

I loved the Liverpool backdrop and exploring the city, however, I wish some of that depth had been used on some of the side characters as they at times were a little 2 dimensional, flanderistic examples of teenagers.

Overall though - I enjoyed the novel and hope the author continues as I would love to see more of their work.

After losing my mum on the 8th of this month, this book really helped me put everything into perspective. Reading about other cultures and how the deal with death was not only eye-opening but it helped me feel so at peace with my choices surrounding her death journey. I cannot put into words how much this book helped me at this time, it took away the fear of spending time with my mother's corpse and it also educated me in a million other ways.

I will truly be taking the teachings of this book to heart and taking action.

Whilst enjoyable and the ending was really fab I did struggle with the pace of this book and found that at times I wasn't super excited to go back. I also struggled with the stakes of the main quest in the early part of this novel.
