Both the audio and the story were excellent.

This was a great conclusion to the duet. I loved Sky and Noah's story and am glad that there wasn't too much drama in this conclusion. Yes, there was still some angst and Sky definitely didn't make it easy for Noah. But overall, this was a less angsty read than the first (I think anyway... you may disagree lol). But I loved Daisy just as much as the first book, and seeing her get her HEA was also great.

Ok... I've been a huge fan of Scream and slasher movies, well... since the OG Scream came out. I love when I see slasher books, and obviously I'm a huge fan of romance. So it's no surprise that when I saw this was a Slasher/Scream romance, I knew i had to read it immediately. This was such a great slasher book, I'm dying to read more!!

This is my first book by Saffron A. Kent and I really wanted to love it more. Between the pregnancy and breeding tropes, the brother's rival, and the boy obsessed... I thought this would be right up my alley. Unfortunately, the writing style is definitely on the longer side... flowery, a bit repetitive. This made the book feel LONG... I appreciate the timeline that went into this, being over the course of 3 years really. But I think I would have preferred to see it in more of a duet form personally.

Not only was the book long, but it felt like it was slow moving. Again, I appreciate just how much was actually covered in this story, so I do get it. But the constant stuttering by the FMC and the repetitive nature of just about every conversation and interaction had me cringing.

I do think there will be a large mass of readers who will love this book, especially if you're already a fan of the author. And while it's a sort of "spin-off" or continuation of a world, it's very easy to read as a standalone, so new readers don't need to feel the need to urgently read the backlist before reading this one.

Unfortunately, I don't think it was entirely what I was expecting or hoping for.

Ok, this one was really good. Second fave of the series. I guess I'm just a fan of a good age gap? This was definitely one of the bigger age gaps I've read, with the MMC 30+ years older. But I loved it!

I also really appreciated the ending and
how he gave her a chance to grieve and heal, but was there waiting for her when she was ready. One of the advantages of having a more mature MMC is definitely the fact that he understood she needed time to herself to properly grow and she couldn't do that with him, no matter how much he wished she could.
