Five Brothers by Penelope Douglas

This book left me with a book hangover, I'm still looking for something exactly the same but different. It felt like snuggling up in a cozy chair with a blanket and an iced drink, while listening to an early fall thunderstorm... I got the same vibes as the Ravenhood series (Flock), so if you loved that book, I think you'll really enjoy this one too.

This was such a sweet and spicy hockey, pregnancy, omegaverse! I absolutely loved all of the characters and how they got to know each other. Definitely recommend Melissa’s books for lighter (but still spicy) reads that you will devour!

I’m firmly in my omegaverse era and have always been a fan of the pregnancy trope. When I saw this would be both, I knew it was for me! I flew through this one and loved everything about it. I also loved that we got a little bit of an intro to the MFC in another series… I’m always a fan of interconnected series by authors! Highly recommend if you love a sweet and spicy OV!

I really enjoyed this prequel and the introduction to the RK world. I have been wanting to read all of the newer ones for a while, but I'm a completionist and needed to know the background of literally every character in the 'verse... So I finally picked up the omnibus SE of the Royal Elite and got started!
I enjoyed the bit of mystery/suspense elements in this one, especially in the second half. And I both love and hate that it was only a standalone instead of a duet. Loved it because we got the answers quickly and nothing felt like it was just dragging on endlessly. Hated it because it did feel a little like a fast-track for the start of the relationship. And I'm actually not sure exactly what the full timeline was...
But I jumped right into Royal Elite and kept going with Aiden's story immediately. So it has me hooked!

I've been on an omegaverse binge lately... there's just something about them that makes me feel like an omega in heat... I always need more! Meggie and her water polo team are no exception. We get some of my fave tropes, like best friend's brother, the tattooed MMC micro-trope that I just inhale, add in a bit of angst and some in-pack MM to offset the slow burn with Meggie... *bites lip*
And omg, the gasp I gusped at the end... I swear, if it hadn't basically all but said "the end" I would have kept flipping pages for the rest thinking I had a bad download or something! And I knew this was only a part 1, but the way it took me by total surprise... I absolutely can't wait for Part 2 and hope we see them at the Olympics! <3

Just a quick bonus scene that was actually at the back of the Tiger by the Tail book from KU when I read it. But I'll always take all the bonus scenes, especially if they're just at the end like a nice little bonus epilogue <3

This was exactly what I was looking for... it's a super sweet (but still plenty spicy) monster romance with the most golden-retriever-of-a-lion MMC and a total boss lady FMC. It's a low angst, workplace/boss (she's the boss!) feel-good romance that just felt like being wrapped up in a warm blanket with a nice cup of tea. Seriously, I don't know what else to say other than I loved it and need a Lion Golden-Retriever of my own!

I know... you're thinking "another 5 star? Is this even a real review?"
Yes!! It is!! I review by vibes and feelings, and this was another super sweet (but still spicy) monster romance with an adorable tiger MMC who just needs hugs. I would cuddle with him any day!! I loved their relationship and how they both gave the space needed at the right times, but also knew when to push each other just a little too.
Highly recommend the Creatures and Codings series for anyone who wants to dip their toes in the vast ocean of monster romances. This is a great place to start! Rhea Fox has quickly become a go-to author and I'm on a mission to binge the entire backlist now!

Just like Butcher & Blackbird, this was a fantastic read. My favorite part of an interconnected standalone is the cameos by the friends/relatives from previous/future books. Leather & Lark didn't disappoint in this department, without taking anything away from the primary focus on the main couple.
The audiobook narration was phenomenal. It's done in the duet style, so the male and female narrators each speak all of the male/female parts, regardless of which POV the chapter is narrated in. They even add in some sound effects and verbalizations that make this complete ear candy... it will definitely be on my "reread via audio" list.

This is more of a prequel for the most part than a continuation of volume 1. The first half (or more?) goes back to when Harto meets Matthew on the "outside" and how they begin their "training." It's still a fun, smutty read, but wasn't as good as Volume 1 in my opinion.
Maybe it's just me and not being a manga reader, but I had a hard time remember who was who and by the second half when it was sort of "epilogues" of volume 1 matches, I was more confused than anything. If you can find it and really want more, it's not bad, but I wouldn't say you're missing too much if you just stick to Volume 1.
