Never Too Soon by Tamika Christy

Never too soon is the second book in Anaya’s world series. Although I haven’t read the first book, the story and characters were clear and understandable. Its good enough to be a standalone novel! The story revolves around Anaya’s life and relationships. Her character and the situations she goes through, has been penned so relatable by the author. You can feel how Anaya feels around her dysfunctional relatives. The book captures Anaya’s true feelings and made me feel for her! Its emotional and lovely at the same time. Things happen for a reason and you cross paths with ur ex for a reason. This has been beautifully portrayed by the author. Definitely gonna read the first book in Anaya’s world and other books from the author. Don’t miss this great read.

This book has all elements in it - love, heartbreak, mistakes forgiveness and second chances. Abby is trying the "Keep her heart afloat" as everything she once had, has left her and she is broken beyond repair. She finds courage and gains the confidence to fight through her way. Very much heartfelt and I could feel Abby through every step in the novel. You will feel a lot of emotions when you read this book, but disappointment is not one of them.

Treasure of the Blue Whale by Steven Mayfield

Treasure of the blue whale is a novel narrated by Connor, about the happenings in a coastal town called Tesoro during Depression-era. After discovering that whale secretions are valuable in perfume making, the town is blooming with riches and consumed with greed to acquire the wealth. Fearing that the people who once helped Connor and his mom will lose their minds, Connor along with his friends help the town to get away from greed and to share their newfound treasure. The novel is heartfelt and light read. It reminded me of the stories that my grandpa used to say during different eras. The author has penned down the emotions of the villagers during the period and it is very captivating to know. If you wanna know about small-scale consumerism and how to get out of it, this is the book to read. Another great depression era find!

The Hand of God is a story of redemption and finding a belief in God. Its has has murders and suspense to it. The book was a slow start for me, it was very difficult to get into the plot, but the story was not confusing. The characters are well rounded. The situations felt real. The story seemed dragged at some points. The language is good and understandable. The ending felt good!

I am a big Horror fan, being it a book or a movie. Its a story about twins and what happens when one of them dies. Its called a "twinless-twin syndrome", and the feel is captured well by the author. Its dark and tense, but no so terrifying like i expected. This book is a good thriller, but not much of a horror.

What It Seems by Emily Bleeker

What it seems is a compulsive, suspenseful story of what seems to be a “perfect family”. This is my first read from Emily Bleeker and i loved her every word. The story flow is awesome. I felt odd to be excited and thrilled after reading this dark and intense novel! All credits to the author. The story gets heavy at some places.. but I didn’t loose any interest nor felt bored! Gripping psychological thriller. Gonna watch out for Emily!
