I fell in love. The writing, the three 'details', the fever I felt in my bones.

It just didn’t hit for me. I get it’s meant to be tangled but the kidnapping element being a side plot felt so strange.

Cried on the tube. Read in a day. Couldn't put it down - an exceptional exploration of grief and childhood and family.

I read this on the beach in Spain. It is not a beach read. It is a systematic breakdown of everything wrong with how girls grow up BUT also fuck that and let the dang girls live. Phew.

What a ride. I love this - a mish mash of romance, sci-fi, drama. It was sassy and smart and fun. Upon further reflection it may be a 5 star. Sheesh, worth the hype.

I think this is excellent. I cannot stop thinking about how excellent it is - in all the quiet ways that tend to make up my favourite books. And a debut! Excellent.
