This was one of the handful of books I was able to read all the way through!

I HIGHLY recommend reading it! And re-reading it!

I found it comforting as a self-diagnosed autistic. Comfort I didn't realize I needed, which makes sense considering this was written by autistics for autistics.

Most of the stories were relatable, to be expected. I'm pretty sure my ADHD is why I was tilting my head at some.

To everyone who contributed to it, well done!
And thank you!

Before any conservatives can be all up and arms, this is an art history book.

It is a study of nude paintings throughout history. And, interestingly enough, many of the artists were being held to a more conservative world view, due to christianity's influence.

If nudity was going to be depicted, it needed to be within the context of mythological or biblical stories. Realism, in the sense of depicting real life events, wasn't "proper".

And while I felt disdain towards the censorship, it didn't stop me from seeing masterpieces. The artists were able to work within the constraints and I was impressed.

And learning about the views of the time period was eye opening!

It's what the GOP is trying to take us back to.

Thank you, Rose-Marie & Rainer Hagen for the engaging history lesson!

Wow. I see why it was banned; this story is too strong for those who are scared of history.

I don't know at what point my need to finish kicked in, but I was up past midnight to finish it.

And, the closer it got to the end, the more typos there were. Considering what was going on, I'm going to guess the excitement caused them to stop paying attention.

Normally, typos throw me off, but I didn't care because I just wanted to finish. And I HATE typos; especially when I do it.

After I was done with this, I immediately moved to the next one. I didn't stop reading until staying up started making me sick.

If you're looking for tropes, I don't know any.

Unless memory loss is a trope, which they pulled off well; being a clean slate allowed them to discover more about themselves. How they got their memories back had me titling my head, though.

If you're paying attention, it makes sense. Says a LOT about the character though...

Another thing I'm happy about! The character development! The only person who felt one-dimensional was the person under someone else's thumb, making them "not having a mind" annoyingly realistic. It also didn't help they were religious to the point it was their ENTIRE personality...

If you're looking for a good LGTBQ+ story, this is for you!

Bad segue, I know...
