This series doesn’t really feel rateable to me. It reads like fanfiction rather than a book. Which is not necessarily a bad thing - it’s an enjoyable read for sure - but I just don’t know how to rate it.
This is classic Julie Anne Long, with eccentric plots and unique characters, but there’s also a touch of Balogh in this one - the yearning!!! The extended contemplation of seemingly inevitable devastating heartbreak!! So good.
This was cute and made me want to read more by the author. It’s hard to get invested in such a short read, and I didn’t like how the MMC took it upon himself to meddle in the FMC’s career without discussing it with her first.
