Hi, I wrote this little book, and I think it's pretty great :)
This book has given me a hell of a time since its characters first showed up in my head, but I love the story it has become and I believe I've finally done it justice. I'm so excited to share it with you.

MASKS is a quirky, queer, and enjoyable superhero story with an endearingly grumpy protagonist and an absolute sunbeam of a rival/love interest. Mara writes character interactions and action scenes very well; I flew through this book and can’t wait to dive into the sequel(s).

AMULET OF WISHES is a fun, fast-paced, high-stakes epic fantasy adventure with a multi-POV cast that I'd follow to Mordor and back. Adventure with a side of mystery and some epic action scenes? And also dragons?? Yes PLEASE!
The lore and history in this book are SUPER cool; I'd read a history book of this world. Rita does a great job solidifying each scene's setting with vivid little details that ground me in the time and place. Her writing has a sort of vibe to it that, despite this being a story unlike any other I've read, makes it feel familiar. And I think that has a lot to do with the characters, so speaking of which...
The characters. Derek, that emo bitch, I love him. I want everything good in the world for Jared. I'd let Arabelle stab me. And I absolutely love Darus and Aurelia's interspersed POVs. I am so inrigued by Aurelia and I'd read a whole book just about her, tbh. I, uh, hope she's okay...
Anyway, the cast of this book is fantastic and their interactions with each other are really authentic, real, and very well done. I cannot wait to see where this series goes next! If you're looking for a solid high fantasy that feels like a classic, look no farther!

DAYLIGHT CHASERS is a bittersweet gem of a book. The characters came across vivid and real, and I thought the characterization of Isabella through Keenan’s eyes was really well done. I enjoyed the story, and the concept is super cool; I’d def read more stories in this same universe to see how others might spend a day that never ends. Well...almost never ends. There’s pretty much infinite possibilities here, and I think that speaks to Rue’s worldbuilding skills.
Anyway, if you’re a fan of They Both Die At the End, give this book a go! There’s a lot to love.

This was so cute!! I guess I didn’t pay attention to the page numbers bc it ended before I knew it and I was like !! Wait!! I want more fluff!!
I’m once again impressed at how easy it is to connect to Mara’s characters, especially in such a small time frame. The MCs of this story are endearing, relatable, and a joy to follow from start to finish. I really was left wishing for more, and I hope to see these characters again in future stories
