It’s the audiobook, and I just wanna walk around with music, not someone speaking in a fake French accent lolol but I could tell that I think I would actually like the book!

• Definitely a LOT more entertaining
• Still, SJM’s writing style is not my thing. Sometimes things aren’t clear or concise enough, especially during action scenes
EXAMPLE: No one spoke. No one. It was dead silent. And yet there was a wave, a presence of power sliding into the room.
I literally just made that up right now, and yet I know it looks like a direct quote 😂
• I wonder if an important character is gonna die cuz when Rhysand “died”, I immediately knew he wasn’t actually going to die
• The only part that actually surprised me was when Elain killed the king
• The two very tiny chapters from Rhysand’s POV…why? 😂They didn’t add much, babes
• I am curious about A Court of Silver Flames because I feel like Nesta and Cassian’s love will be more entertaining
• I wonder if the writing in Throne of Glass is different or better. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about the series recently
• Only two more to go! I am gonna read Frost and Starlight

- To Emory, for Christmas 2022
- Magical, enchanting prose. Reminds me of Madeline Miller
- Slow pace but in a way that made me savor the words, not feel bored at all
- Atmosphere and world is vivid
- Pace got better and better
- Lots of characters. Explained so well that I didn’t get confused or lost
- Top tier definition of: Nothing is happening, but the vibes are immaculate
- I am entirely convinced of the world. No effort by me is needed
- Never telling, always showing ♥️
- I feel compassion for the characters out of free will, not manipulation
- Taken on a ride by Laini Taylor
- Not totally twisty, like twists aren’t the POINT of the book, but I never could predict what would happen next in a lovely, lovely way
- The romance is gorgeous
- All the details in the beginning matter in the end
- I NEED TO READ THE SECOND ONE IMMEDIATELY OMG

- Uh, whoa. Gotta read super slowly at first because the world is very sci-fi
- Confusing as it is, it’s cinematic for what I can grasp
- I think I’m about to get to the good part, but idk how worth it it’s gonna be because even if it’s REALLY good, I still had to get through the crazy chunk in the beginning
- Tbh I don’t really understand where their love is coming from
- I also have stopped fully trying to understand the sci-fi talk because I can it’s not going to be relevant anyway . . . and I don’t like when there’s anything in a book that isn’t relevant. What a waste!
- Nicknaming a lover “strawberry” is cute. Original
- It almost feels like sci-fi Shakespeare. I need an interpreter or someone smarter than me to help disentangle some of these sentences and paragraphs.
- “I love you, and I love you, and I want to find out what that means together.” Finally! Pg 131, we finally got somethin
- “I hate it. I never hated before, like I hate this. With all you are to me, and all you’ll always be, we can’t just go. We can’t just walk away. But I will, if it leaves you living.” Again, okay! Pg 150
- I have no idea what I just read ♥️ those authors are dorky as hell

- TJR has an unmatchable skill with coming with character names. They’re always spot on, so realistic
- So much has happened before I even am 50% of the way thru that I’m like “What else is gonna happen???”
- For reality TV/drama lovers
- To me, yes, it’s a wee bit boring
- I don’t think this book is a good testament to TRJ’s writing, but it is a good testament to her ability to create believable characters
- The reveal of who the author is was satisfying!
- Warren, the drummer, he’s my fav

- Light fake dating trope
- This book is for the girlie who miss 2010 rom coms
- Lynn Painter made a playlist on Spotify so that’s cute to listen to while reading
