Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree was an absolute delight to read. I've been a long time fan of the author Mina Rose and her writing never fails to amaze me! I have truly never read something so thought provoking and reflective regarding religion and Lucifer's story. With every poem I felt more and more invested in the story and characters. The descriptions of emotions and scenery really pull you into the exact mood the author is trying to convey. Something that stood out to me from other poem books are the extremely unique character designs (especially Lilith's and Eve's outfits) super detailed and suiting the aesthetic of the Garden of Eden. I can't forget to mention the star of the book Lucifer's design. I've never seen Lucifer depicted with darker skin and peacock feathers before. It was refreshing to see more diverse skin colors with the cast of characters. The beautiful artwork by Daria Cohen really helped portray Mina's vision for this poem book. I hope more people give DFFFTT a read since you can tell so much effort and love was put into this masterpiece.

Okay I was NOT prepared in the slightest for the emotions would feel throughout this book. I went in mostly blind just aware that it was a wlw romance book nothing more since I wanted to be a surprised. I heard about this book from a friend and since read "I Kissed Shara Wheeler" and fell in with Casey's writing I thought I would give "One Last Stop" a try. You have no idea how many times I got close to crying at some parts. I felt very connected to August and ADORED all of the side characters. They all felt like they had depth and weren't just one dimensional which is what I really appreciate in books. I deeply relate to a lot of struggles August goes through with trying to find out who she is and deciphering her feeling towards Jane. It saddens me this book isn't talked about as much as Casey's other works because I actually prefer this one over IKSW. It took me a while to finish this book since I read/annotated it during a hard time but it was really comforting to read despite everything else going on in my life. The comedy is GOLD and I couldn't stop laughing at certain things the characters would say. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a cute romance with a side of mystery. ☕
