Second in the series and better than book 1. The action and battle scenes were intense. Lots of blood and gore and suffering to accompany a great plot - just the stuff that makes Abercrombie great. I can't wait to read book 3!

This book is not as good as the prior to in the series. While the aspect of the book is very good, there are major plot holes and lack of conclusion on some threads.
That being said, I would recommend this book to a beginner or intermediate beginner Spanish learner. I learned a lot from it.

Another great story and a good follow up on the original story. Some of the visions/dreams got a little confusing but it sorted itself out nicely. I look forward to more adventures with Alex.
