This story gets better every time I read it. At first, I remembered it as being lighthearted and a bit light on the adventure, but after reading it again, I realize it is an adult adventure fantasy.

In addition, I listened to the version narrated by Andy Serkis. I highly recommend listening to this version. Andy does an exceptional job of narrating by separating voice personalities and flowing with the temper of the story.

Not my cup of tea. I figured out the plot twist early on and spent the rest of the read trying to understand what was going on.

I probably won’t continue the series.
